At the 2005 DCUK Championships this past weekend Kidsgrove Scouts took the high percussion award and 2nd place overall. Other Dynasty groups performing were Southern Aurora class A champions and 4th overall, Stafford Lancers 2nd in A class and 37th Kingswood Cadets who won the Cadet class. Others competing were Poynton Commodores and the Forgemen. Congatulations to all..........

From Phil Brown, Percussion Caption Head of Kidsgrove Scouts..... “The guys worked so hard this year especially during the run up to finals when we really did start to ice things consistently especially when you consider this was our most demanding book to date. All the blood, sweat and tears definitely paid off in the end and the guys fully deserved to take the DCUK high drums trophy in both prelims and finals night. I would like to thank Al Murray and the guys from Dynasty for providing us with the instruments that gave the Kidsgrove Scouts 2005 drumline the upper hand in terms of quality of sound within the DCUK circuit. We’ve already got fantastic plans for the winter and next year and look forward to achieving our only goal yet again, just to get better every year!” Thanks Dynasty Philip Brown – Kidsgrove Scouts Percussion Caption Head
