Mr. Krzywicki, principal tubist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, went on to Perry, Iowa, where he presented a clinic at the 24th annual William Bell Memorial Tuba Day. Krzywicki had been a student and assistant to Mr. Bell. The day’s event included a mass tuba/euphonium ensemble performance at the gravesite of Mr. Bell. Performers ranged in age from 12-70. December 25, 2002 marked the 100th anniversary of Mr. Bell’s birth.
