Oct 25, 2017 "SNAZZ" - Jesse Sieff

Composed with the natural spirit of jazz in mind, this snare solo playfully mirrors the virtuosic jazz piano line of Aaron Goldberg's "OAM Blues". Based upon a refined technique of improvisation, the solo intricately combines traditional and hybrid rudiments in a non-traditional context. For the sake of time and logistics, a transitional cut was made during the drum solo (at the stick drop stall moment) The full version of the track can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwU6x9jUQPs Aaron's Goldberg's music page: https://aarongoldberg.com/ The snare drum is a Dynasty Custom Elite. http://dynastyband.com/ The sticks are Jim Casella's by Innovative Percussion. http://www.innovativepercussion.com/ Special thanks: Zach Everett for his expert recording skills and the Gateway Band for allowing me to borrow their instrument at a moments notice http://www.gatewayband.org/ Sarah Ott and her brilliant photography skills https://sarahottphotography.jimdo.com/ This project is dedicated to the loving memory of a former student of mine, Ryan McCutcheon. Rest in peace, my friend.
