Micael Cortone d'Amore was born in 1970 in Nice. He started his studies at the conservatory in Nice.
From 1991 to 1995 he studied with the well known tubist Melvin Culbertson.
At the Perpignan conservatory he earned first place in the "Excellent" class in 1993. In the same year he also won the first prize at the conservatory Sup�rieur in Lyon.
In July 1995 Micael Cortone d'Amore started his solo career as tubist with the l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg and became professor of tuba at the Conservatoire National de Strasbourg.
During the following 3 years he conducted the famous Ensemble Cuivres du Conservatoire with great success.
In 1996 he played Jan Koetsier�s concertino and in 2001 the John Williams.
concerto with the l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg.
Every year Micael Cortone d'Amore performs many workshops and clinic as well as solo recitals in France and abroad.
Micael Cortone d'Amore also plays with the well known ensemble OPUS.4.
