Discover Charles Schulz

Professor of Low Brass - University of Memphis & Principal Tuba - Memphis Symphony Orchestra Associate Professor and Brass Division Coordinator, Dr. Schulz is a regular in the Memphis and mid-south musical arena, having served as principal tubist in the Memphis Symphony Orchestra for over twenty-five years. He received his bachelors degree from Ohio State University and then moved to Memphis for a Master of Music in tuba performance. His academic training was completed with a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of North Texas. As head of the School of Music's brass division, he oversees a growing area in both quality and quantity.
