Discover Noah Belamy



Mr. Bellamy has spent the last ten years as an in demand performer, arranger, and educator. He has arranged music that has been performed by Wynton Marsalis and The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Grammy Award Winner Bob Belden, Grammy Award Nominee Fred Hersch, and Grammy Award Nominee Conrad Herwig. University Big Bands from Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, and Florida have also performed his works. In 2004, The New York All-State Honor Jazz Ensemble performed his arrangement of 'Rapture' with guest artist Conrad Herwig.

As a performer Mr. Bellamy has performed with Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame members The Four Tops, The Temptations, Frankie Valli, Lou Rawls, and The O.J.'s. He has performed with jazz greats such as The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, The Cab Calloway Orchestra, Slide Hampton, Curtis Fuller, Phil Woods, Amhad Jamal, Conrad Herwig, Chris Potter, Dennis DiBlasio, John Fedchock, and many more. He has worked as a featured performer and soloist for Carnival Cruise Lines and in 2004 completed a 90 day, 70 city tour of North America with the highly acclaimed 'String of Pearls Orchestra'.

Mr. Bellamy's education includes special studies in music theory, history and improvisation at the Internationally Acclaimed University of North Texas. In 1999, Mr. Bellamy received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University where he studied with jazz legend David Baker, and in 2003 he received his Masters in Music from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. In 2000, Mr. Bellamy was chosen as one of three finalists to take part in the new jazz program at The Juilliard School of Music.

Mr. Bellamy currently teaches Jazz Band, Concert Band, Orchestra, Marching Band, and Music Theory at Miami Beach Senior High School. He is also the director of the award winning Miami Beach Senior High School Winter Drumline. He is currently a member of the Florida Music Educators Association, The Florida Bandmasters Association, the Florida Orchestra Association and serves as the Dade County Representative for the South Florida Winter Guard Association.
