Discover Derrick Shannon
Derrick Shannon is a percussion specialist in the Chicago area as well as the founder of DAS Productions. He is Currently the director of percussion at Alan B. Shepard High School and does many clinics and performances around the Chicago area. He has studied under instructors such as Paul Rennick, Adam Hill, Chris Pitlik, and Kevin Lepper. His resume includes numerous years of drum corps with groups such as the Americanos, Pioneer and also with the Phantom Regiment who claimed the DCI World Championship in 2008. He has also been heavily involved with WGI as he helped lead Pioneer Indoor to two WGI Independent A World Championships. During the winter he is a member of the Chicago Bulls Stampede Drumline where he perfoms at 13 plus basketball games a season. Derrick has become one of the 91 musicians in the United States to earn a spot in the All-American Marching Band.
