Discover James River High School

The James River High School percussion section is part of the The James River Regiment Marching Band. The Band competes in marching, concert and parade competitions around the state and is proud to be one of only 2 bands to be a Virginia Honor Band every year of its existence. The percussion section also competes in winter drumline competition in the AIA circuit. This group, called Rapidfire won the concert class gold medal its first 3 years in a row competing. Last year Rapidfire began competing in the AIA, marching A class.
